In 2014, Scholastic Store Online’s e-Commerce site was outdated and badly in need of an update. As the lead product designer, I worked directly with UX designers and product owners to create a new look and feel for the site, and to build a fluid system where the site could easily be altered to suit the marketing/merchandiser’s needs, using interchangeable cartridges that allowed for Scholastic to personalize and theme each product, thereby increasing their value and potential. I oversaw several designers to help produce all needed site design and visual assets and to maintain a consistent brand aesthetic and also worked directly with developers when the site was built, working in real-time for any updates and tweaks needed.
